THE SHORT STORY…

Chaps & Co is based on the concept of transforming a regular chore ‘a haircut’ into a pleasurable experience. The idea came to founder Jordan Davies, who found himself searching for reliable male grooming whilst an expat in Dubai. During the research, it became evident quickly that he was not alone. Co founders Chris and Mark joined forces to create Dubai’s first ‘new era’ male grooming concept.

About Jordan

Jordan has six years’ corporate experience in a range of marketing roles embracing multiple disciplines in the Middle East and South East Asia. Before founding Chaps & Co in March 2015, Jordan specialised in brand marketing and consumer behaviour at British American Tobacco. Jordan brings with him the creative input and strategic mindset to achieve the company’s ambitious goals, overseeing all aspects of building the Chaps & Co Brand from strategy & positioning to public relations & social media, brand partnerships, and digital marketing.

About Chris

Chris moved to the UAE from London in 2010 after initial training with a Big 4 accounting firm and holding a number of operational management positions. Since arriving in the UAE, Chris has worked for a large government and defence contractor, holding program management, business development and contract management positions. His experience has helped to structure the Chaps business model.

Mark’s background is predominantly within the real estate sector, most recently spending 5 years as Managing Director of the international franchise of a successful UK property developer, operating offices in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. An ambitious investor and entrepreneur, Mark holds a director’s position across 5 companies with his business interests spanning retail, technology, property development, investment and construction.

Mark’s background is predominantly within the real estate sector, most recently spending 5 years as Managing Director of the international franchise of a successful UK property developer, operating offices in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. An ambitious investor and entrepreneur, Mark holds a director’s position across 5 companies with his business interests spanning retail, technology, property development, investment and construction.

Dirk’s career has been built over 15 years of operational management in process driven corporate structures. His career has been established in three countries, South Africa, UK and UAE , with roles cantered around staff training programs and development, customer service experiences and operational processes for an established 5 star hotel in London’s Mayfair. Dirk has transferred his knowledge of taking the day to day operations and development of business and applied it to his current role with Chaps & Co.
